With a focus on planet Mars, Red Planet gives us a classic configuration with only 3 reels. The game might be a classic in spirit and layout, but as far as the design goes, it makes sure that everything is futuristic and related to space travel and astronomy. You will not find any fruit symbols here. The game is built to look like you have in front of you the round window of a spaceship, and you're looking outside to see the surface of planet Mars. It looks like the ship has landed on Mars and the reels are placed on top of the window. The planet's surface is visible behind the reels. The betting options are located all around the window. As for the symbols which you get to play with, they include the red planet, aliens, the Mars rover, planet Earth, space shuttles and flying saucers.

The betting options of Red Planet allow the player to select 1 to 5 paylines in each wager, with one coin being used per line. The value of a coin is in the $0.01 to $5 range, with the maximum bet being $25. The top jackpot is worth 8000 coins here, with the cash value being up to $40,000.

The top jackpot of 8000 coins may only be won if the bet used the maximum of 5 coins. With 1 to 4 coin bets, the same combination of three red planet symbols will only award 5000 coins. There is a significant difference in value between a 4 and a 5 coin bet, so it would be a good idea to always use the maximum number of coins. If the wager does need to be made smaller, the coin value is the one that should be modified.

There is also a big difference between the payout for the top combination and the one for the second combination on the paytable (200 coins for three alien symbols).
