Wipeout offers players 5 reels and 10 paylines. This game was designed by the developers from Barcrest. The features offered have scatters, wild symbols and free spins on the list, plus payouts of $7,500.
With Wipeout, the target market seems to be the surfers, since that's the theme the game has. The big, blue waves are visible in the background image, and the reels have various elements that hint at being inspired by the sea. The game's logo, with the surfer dude and the balance, are at the top. The bottom has the betting options, and they are part of a wave like structure themselves. Of course, the developers have added the usual mix of card symbols to the reels, but luckily we only get four of them (Jack, Queen, King, Ace). The other symbols we're getting here include the Wild, the waves, the VW van, the Sun and the surfer dude.
All wagers placed in this game are made on 1 to 10 lines, with coin denominations in the $0.02 to $30 range. The most you can bet is $300, with the 250x top payout being worth up to $7,500.
The symbol that will get the most attention is probably the Wild symbol, with the waves underneath it. That's because one of its roles is to substitute for all the regular symbols included here, when it can help them get combinations with payouts of their own (a minimum of three symbols total in the combo). The other role is that of a trigger for the top payout of the slot. The player gets 250 coins if he has five wild symbols, 80 coins for four symbols and 15 coins for three wilds.
The other major feature is the symbol that has the surfer dude on it. This is the scatter feature, which means that it can appear anywhere on the reels, without occupying the same line as the other scatter symbols that are required. When the player does get at least three scatters, his reward is a payout which is twice the bet, plus 5 free games. Of course, the free games can be triggered again, as you play them, if you get the three scatters again.
Wipeout does require some decent sized wagers to be placed in it, but despite that it does not come through with its payouts, giving only a 25x multiple of the top wager that can be made.
