With Arthur's Quest II, Amaya gives us once again a 5 reel and 9 payline game, just like its predecessor. The game's wild symbol and scatter accompany the top jackpot of $125,000 and make this game a must try slot.
You might've guessed it from the name, but I'll confirm anyway, that this is the second of the Arthur's Quest slots from Amaya. While this one keeps a style of design that is similar to the first one, the actual quality of the symbols and images is much better, and from the graphics point of view this game is clearly the better choice. You will find the same Camelot castle in the background, behind the reels, with the sides giving us information on the wild symbol and the bonus round. This time though, this information is placed on flags, not on the towers of the castle. The design of the symbols has improved considerably as well, having more details and a better designer behind them. The images selected for symbols include Excalibur in the role of the wild, pikes, a pair of axes, Guinevere, Merlin, Arthur and the card symbols, from Ten to Ace.
While the player is obligated to place wagers on all the 9 lines of the game, he gets to pick how many coins he wants to use, the upper limit being 10 per line. He also chooses how much each coin is worth, with $5 being the most that can be selected. If the player decides to max the bet, he will bet up to $50 per line, for a maximum of $450 per spin. The top jackpot takes that into account, and gives up to $125,000 back to the player, the prize being given for 10 coins per line, at $5 each. Wager less, and the prize drops accordingly.
The symbol with Excalibur now shows the sword while it was in the stone, waiting for someone to take it out. The wild is responsible for the top jackpot, but it also substitutes for other symbols and helps them create new combos.
Three different bonus symbols are available in the game, just like it happened in the first version of the game. Arthur, Merlin and Guinevere will trigger bonus rounds of their own, and all you need for that to happen is at least three symbols to appear.
The game looks better than the previous version, has bigger wagers but also bigger prizes, and overall I'd recommend you give it a chance.
