This is the third episode from the Star Trek series of slots that WMS has designed, and in a way these are all the same game. The rest of the graphics and the symbols are mostly the same, though this third installment did add to the game the tribbles that were famous in the Star Trek universe. The game requires the player to use 25 coins in order to activate 25 paylines, plus an additional 10 coins which are used to trigger a feature bet. Each coin varies in value, between $0.01 and $2, with the maximum bet at $70. Payouts go up to 2500 coins, with their value being up to $5,000.

The player needs five symbols with the Starfleet insignia if he wants to take home that big prize of 2500 coins. With only four of those symbols the payout drops to 1000 coins.

The Feature symbol is one of the things that has changed in this third episode of the series, since it triggers a different kind of bonus game. In this case it's Tribble Pinball, with the requirement for its activation being a minimum of three scatter symbols on the reels. The same bonus game will give the player one medal to collect whenever it's activated. While the bonus round needs 3+ symbols, with 4 or 5 the player will get cash prizes.

The wild symbol uses the Star Trek logo and it's a substitute for other symbols, the exception being the Feature icon. The wild is a useful feature whenever it appears, since it increases the likelihood of a winning combination being formed.
