The theme of the slot is evident from its name. Pirates are the focus here, in this classic slot, with a design to match. You will notice that there are a number of symbols which are pirate related on the reels, including a pirate coin, the flag which has the pirate skull and the crossbones, a sword, parrot, cannon, seashell, ruby ring and a treasure chest.

The player can wager up to 90 coins on a spin, with 10 coins for each of the 9 available paylines. There is a bonus game available in Pirate's Gold, and it can be activated by three Pirate Gold Coins, which have to appear on one of the paylines. During this bonus game, you start by shooting with a cannon, trying to hit a ship, out of the three that are available. Once you choose the ship you want to fire at, you use the button with the skull and crossbones to fire. The prize can be either 10x the bet you placed, or it can be a 50x or 100x multiplier. Sometimes, the ship that is shot will have the Golden Key onboard, in which case the player goes to another bonus round, of a different type. In this second round, the player guides the parrot to a chest, which is opened with the button with a Golden Key on it. The chest will contain a prize of either 100, 200, 500 or 1000 times the bet that was placed.

The player has the option to use the Autoplay mode if he wants to, allowing the machine to do up to 1000 spins on its own, while stopping in certain cases, like a jackpot win or a bonus round.

Pirate's Gold doesn't have too many bells and whistles, but at least there is a bonus round that can be extremely profitable, and the jackpot is not that bad either.
