The Megasaur slot machine from RTG is a 5 reel and 25 payline progressive video slot. Megasaur takes us back a few million years and gives us a look at a world dominated by ruthless predators, called Megasaurs. The jungle is right behind the reels and looking like it's taken directly out of Jurassic Park. The design looks good enough when the dinosaur pictures are drawn, but in most other ways it looks dated and not quite as good as the similarly themed slots released lately by the competition. The symbols offered inside start with the boring playing cards, but soon move on to green and red megasaurs, triceratops, pterodactyls and a few other dinosaurs.
This slot makes thing very easy and your decision is to simply to pick one of three wager sizes that are predetermined. All 25 lines are selected in each case. The Mega Bet is the big one, worth $5 and using $0.20 per line. Major Bet is the one in the middle, worth $2.50 and coming with $0.10 line bets. Minor Bet is the smallest possible commitment, using $0.05 per line and a total of $1.25 per spin. The Megasaur Jackpot is displayed at the top of the reels and its value can go over $1 million.
The Feature Guarantee tells the player that no matter how unlucky he is, he is guaranteed to get access to the bonus game at some point, even if it has to be artificially triggered by the game.
The Megasaur is a dinosaur that comes in two variants in this game. One of them is Green and the other is Red. The Green Megasaur comes on the 2nd reel and it's a grouped wild. The Red Megasaur is also a grouped wild but it appears only on the 4th reel. The Red version comes with a 2x multiplier that applies to all potential payouts (except the progressive).
The volcano that brought the end of the dinosaur era is the scatter symbol that can give you a payout of up to 300 times the amount you've wagered ($1,500). The same symbol will give you the round with 10 free spins as long as a minimum of three icons are present.
The progressive jackpots are tailored to the wager that triggered the round (Minor, Major and Mega). They are available only while the free spins are running.
