The game's theme is a bit weird, focusing on a few cherry characters that are winners in sporting competitions. The image in the background is blue with stars on it, with the white reels taking over most of the screen otherwise. The design style is fine for the regular symbols of the game, but it looks like it could've used something different when it comes to the character cherries, which don't seem to have the same kind of polished and modern look as the others. The symbols include the single, double and triple Bar, plus one, two and three cherries. Another symbol that has a bit of importance in this slot is the scatter cherry. The reason why the scatter is important is because it works differently than other symbols. Instead of having to get a certain number of symbols on a payline to get paid, the scatter just has to be somewhere on the reels of the game in sufficient numbers. You need either four or five scatter symbols to be present, and in return you will get a 50x multiple for the total bet for the former, and 500x for the latter. Since the multiple is applied to the total bet, and not to the line bet, as it's the case with regular symbols, the payout can get quite big ($4,500 in this case).
The final feature symbol of Cherry Champions is the Running Cherry, the symbol which triggers a bonus round with the same name, the requirement being a minimum of four symbols, in any position on the reels.
While the graphics don't help it much, Cherry Champions looks like a decent way to spend a few hours, and with wagers limited at $9, it should be worth a shot.
