As the Reels Turn # 2 - The Gamble

The Gamble is the second As The Reels Turn slot, and it's a 15 payline/5 reel game, which was created by Rival Gaming. The game's top jackpot is only $2,500, but it comes with features that include scatters, free spins and multipliers.

This is the second game from the series called As The Reels Turn, with the first one being based on a soap opera. The second one does the same thing, and it takes the action from hotel El Paradiso further. The slot uses some of the same graphics and symbols as the first one, but there are also plenty of things that are completely different, including the characters that take part. Once again, the developers have managed to create a game that is entertaining enough to play, and which has a good soundtrack included. The symbols you will find on the reels have on them four scatters (Ivan, Danny, Advance to Next Scene and Counterfeit Chip), a bottle of win, lobster, the Confidential letter, Vanessa, Rex, Jamie, the casino chips and the logo of the hotel.

The Gamble allows for smaller bets than the previous episode, with 5 coins wagered at up to $0.50 each on each of the 15 paylines. You can bet up to $37.50 in the game, and the top jackpot is $2,500, also smaller than in the previous episode.

As was the case with the first slot in the series, there are two symbols that give away the same amount of 1000x, which is the top jackpot. If you get five symbols, with either the casino chips, or the El Paradiso hotel logo, you get the equivalent of 1000 times the line bet.

The four scatter symbols each trigger a bonus round, or give free spins. The one with free spins is with Ivan the Fish on it, and the player receives 10 spins if he has at least three symbols of this type. The 3x multiplier that comes with it is great to have as well.

Three Danny symbols, which are also scatters, will also trigger a bonus round, where the player gives Rex some help in finding Danny, while trying to avoid Jamie. The player has to choose various spots and gets rewards.

The other two scatter symbols trigger bonus rounds of their own, and in each case you need at least three symbols of the same type to get the game to activate. Each time it's a choice game, with no real skill involved.

Once again, Rival does a good job with this second episode of the series, keeping the same number of bonus rounds and free spins, but bringing some improvements as well.
