The game's theme is a shark school as you probably guessed, a place where sharks can learn how to become good at their jobs. You will find quite a few horrified little fish in the game, used for training purposes apparently. The game displays an image with the ocean and the coast nearby, while the reels are a very dark blue which doesn't allow for the background image to be visible. Unfortunately there are some card icons used in the game and they are quite visible and stand out more than they should. The themed symbols almost look like a minority as a result. These symbols include four different shark characters, including a coach, a teacher, a hammer head gym teacher and the school boy with the hat. The line-up is completed by four types of fish that look terrified and they appear to be used for practice purposes.
The betting system is fairly straightforward. The game allows for the use of up to 50 coins and each coin selects a payline, so if you decide to use only some of those coins you don't have all the lines selected. The coin denomination is between $0.01 and $5 in value, with the maximum bet worth $250. The game offers up to 1500 coins for its best possible combo, with the value being up to $7,500.
One of the features that I've enjoyed in this game is called Swim Fishy, Swim! The game shows us a chase of a fish by a shark and the race is won by one or the other depending on the symbols which appear on the reels. The game starts with the fish three spots ahead of the hungry shark. Whenever a shark appears on the 3rd reel he will advance by one space. If a fish appears on the 3rd reel he also gets ahead by one space (the maximum being 5 spaces). The player will get free games for as long as the race continues. If the fish gets eaten or if 25 rounds have passed, the free games will end. If the fish wins the race the player gets a prize worth 200x the bet. The free games have a 3x multiplier.
Another feature is called Don't Eat The Teacher and it involves free games with 2x multipliers. If a shark appears on the 5th reel it will try to eat a teacher appearing on the same row on the 1st reel. As long as the teacher doesn't get eaten the free spins will continue and the multiplier increases. Up to 25 spins are offered, with the game ending sooner if the teacher is eaten. The bonus for the teacher's survival is 100x the bet.
A great game overall, with some very nice feature rounds and free spins, which really get you interested in the game and go far to helping you hit some nice payouts.
