The Six Million Dollar Man is a recently launched Slot Machine from Playtech, which is based on a TV show that was             quite popular a few decades ago. It’s a 50 payline, 5 reel game, with a jackpot of 4000 coins, the possibility to get Free Spins, Bonus rounds and wild symbols.

The theme of the Slot is based on a 70’s TV show, called The Six Million Dollar Man. The series focused on a former astronaut, called Steve Austin, which received a number of bionic implants (legs, one arm and one eye) and became a government agent. The choice for this game’s theme is a bit surprising, since this is not a series that has a lot of fans these days and the attempt to create a spin off for the series, with Bionic Woman, failed miserably a couple of years ago.

The symbols used in the game are partially taken from the series. Among them you will find the image of the main character, Steve Austin (the wild symbol), as well as his Superior, Oscar Goldman, plus various bionic limbs (eye, hand or foot) and the logo for the show (the scatter symbol).

The maximum jackpot is 4000 coins. Thanks to the large betting range, both high rollers and low rollers can give this game a try.

The Bionic Spin Mode we mentioned before allows players to add an extra 50% to their bet, in exchange for a chance to get between 0 and 5 symbols to become wild symbols. It’s one of the things that make the game playable, from a profitability point of view, as most of the payouts are quite small.

The Free Spins option is triggered when you get a minimum of three scatter symbols (the show logo). The player can get up to 15 free spins and additional wild symbols when this option is triggered. If the three bionic symbols available in the game appear at the same time that will give the player an additional two free spins.

Overall, this slot machine seems to be created solely to make a bit of cash from fans of this old TV series. The one thing that makes it a bit different is the Bionic Spin Mode, but that’s not something completely original either. Overall, a decent slot machine, which will appeal to some players, but most of them, will probably not play on it in the long run.
