i LIKE THAT BASEBALL IS COMING BACK WITH NO FANS IN THE STADIUM IT JUST WON'T BE THE SAME FOR THOSE WHO ACTUALLY GO TO THE STADIUM CAUSE THERE 'S A BIG DIFFERENCE FROM WATCHING THEM ON T.V ( BORING ) OR BEING THERE WITH THEM LIVE ( EXCITING ). i REMEMBER WHEN I LIVED BACK IN C.A WE WOULD GO TO CANDLE STICK ( NO LONGER ) IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.

I just hope for the players , coaches and their families that they are safe. I live in Florida and as you know our cases have spiked . I had to cancel a planned trip to see a grandson graduate as I really did not want to risk getting amyone sick. My fear with sports like football , and basketball and hockey there is so much contacting involved. Just not sure that we may have opened too soon, I am glad that the stands were empty , but the players health is in jeopardy ,

I think it's good that teams will be playing again -but- It really won't be the same without the fans.I don't know about everyone else but I myself found it a bit humorous when I heard you could get (Purchase) a cardboard placard to represent yourself as a fan at the games and that there would probably be recorded fan sounds played during the game. With no real fans and recorded fan cheers and boo's it really takes the fun and excitement out of it all, hopefully one day things will return to normal. My overall opinion though,is that it is good for the teams to be playing once again and I hope they will be safe.

I think that the NHL is doing it the right way. They picked 2 Canadian cities to be the locations where all games will be played. Players and management will be sequestered, not interacting with the public.Players are tested daily for covid, 5 games will be played daily until they determine a Stanley Cup winner, that will have a huge asterisk next to their name.

Oh Dave that is a excellent plan. Had not seen their plan. Maybe we should get the NHL to plan our school openings . I have some grandkids going to brick and mortar and some virtual

First.. Happy Belated Dave.. I can't for some reason post up in the daily forum chat.. it gives me an error message, so tried to put it there yesterday, but couldn't.. ok.. now onto the question..

You said honest, here goes lol.. I am not huge sports fan in the least.. I like football when I have had a fantasy team years ago, made it more interesting.. but I do have a friend whos son after going
thru much hell in his life, finally made the majors and is amazing pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, and played a bit before for the Marlins..(Nick Anderson) and it seem so sad to me that all he went thru to finally get to
be where he wanted to be much earlier in life, with so much flippin talent, he now is getting much less of the experience than he would have had.. well as a mom it breaks my heart.. he would play for nothing, just the love of the game ... I have always thought pro's were so over paid, and that it was all about that .. and am sure it is for some, but not this kid.. and has opened my eyes that maybe not for many or most. So I am glad for him that he can atleast play and have a partial experience... as I know its better than not for sure .. and I do hope they all are safe. but in the big picture of things..life has changed for everyone.. and may never be what it was before.. so other than him, this has so not been on my radar.. We are retiring this year, and will be selling and going south somewhere.. and for me, I just ache to be able to travel and interact with the world without a mask, as I can barely breathe in one, instead will be worried in everything we do even with one on... and distancing from everything and everyone.. and well... .I hate COVID..

I am very skeptical about them returning, this covid is a very terrible virus we have, I have had my sister suffer with it, so IMO I do not think they should be returning as of yet.

Well games are closimg as quick as they try to open, For Christ sake maybe we just need to put a stop to everything until its safe. Lines are more important than any money on this earth.

I think it is too soon to even think about things, including sports, to try to open up and go back to what was normal to us before Covid19. The players will be at great risk and it doesn't make any sense to me to put them through that. I agree with Luna, lives are much more important than any amount of money that can be made from opening up now. I am frustrated with hearing about everybody being in a rush to open things up when the number of sick people is so high and NOT going down. I think greed drives too many people to make foolish decisions.

Great to have NASCAR, at least. I only watch on TV anyway, so, the empty grandstands are hardly noticed by me.
