Taking us back to the era of the Cold War, Russian Attack makes heavy use of the images and colors which remind us of those times. To give you an example, the background is the outline of the Moscow skyline (I’m guessing the Kremlin), placed on a red background. The reels are placed in the top left corner, with the paytable being partially displayed below the reels and to their right. The logo of the slot is accompanied by a woman dressed in Russian military garments and the most important symbol of the slot is the yellow hammer and sickle. It’s both the highest paying symbol of the game and the wild symbol. The other symbols of Russian Attack are the accordion, the Russian guitar and the three classic Bar symbols.

Placing a bet in Russian Attack is easy. You start out with the selection of the value for the coins, which starts at $0.01 and it can be increased up to $5. Next, you select the number of paylines on which the bet is made, which basically means that you choose how many coins you want to bet with, between 1 and 3. Based on the choices made so far, the possible bet value starts at $0.01 and it can get up to $15. The value of the bet influences the potential payouts, with the maximum prize being $30,000.

As we mentioned before, the symbol with the hammer and sickle is the one that pays out the big jackpot, but it’s also the wild of the game. When this symbol appears on a payline, it can substitute for other symbols and create winning combinations, as long as the rest of the payline has the symbols needed for that to happen.

The accordion pays out the second big prize of the game, 200 coins, as long as three of these symbols are on an active payline.

The AutoPlay option is present in this game, just like it is in most of the Top Game creations. It can be used to set the slot to play a number of predetermined spins automatically, without requiring input from the player.

A Cold War Slot should do well enough usually, but the graphics used for this one might not attract too many players. There is no denying that the $30,000 jackpot can make up for that lack of visual appeal though.
