Candies focuses on the thing you would expect, various types of candy. It’s a slot with a lot of pink and red in it, almost unbearably so, but those with a sweet tooth might appreciate it anyway. The Candies logo is placed in the middle of the slot, at the top, with the reels right beneath it. The paytable is split, half on the left of the reels, and half on the right. Candy canes, lollypops, hard candy and other sweets are used as symbols in the game. The multi colored candy is the wild and it also awards the game’s big prize.

Since there is only one payline in the game, the only choice is how many coins should be wagered and the coin value. The coin value is at $0.25 when it’s at maximum, with the lowest value being $0.05. The number of coins wagered are a different matter, since it’s not just about betting a different amount. The number of coins used make the game behave differently. With one coin, the player spins the reels as he usually does, hopefully getting a prize in the process. With two coins, one of the coins is used for the re-spin, meaning that after the first spin is done, the player can choose to hold one or more symbols, while re-spinning the rest. For example, if you already have two symbols, and you just need the third,  -you can hold the two identical symbols, and spin the third. There is a much better chance of getting a winning combination this way, but the bet is double as well. The bets range from $0.05 to $0.50. Since the game’s maximum bet is just $0.50, it’s not a surprise that the top jackpot is only $250, or 1000 coins.

As I mentioned before, the game does have a wild, and it will substitute for other symbols if a winning combination can be formed this way. If you’re lucky enough to get three wilds on the payline, the prize is 1000 coins, the game’s top jackpot.

The hold option with the possibility to re-spin and the small size of the maximum bet are the main features of the game, and they make it a good choice for anyone that has a limited budget.
