Desert Treasure II is a 5 reel, 20 payline video slot from Playtech. This version of the popular slot includes scatter symbols, multipliers, expanding wild symbols, free games and a bonus game. Desert Treasure II is based on the original Desert Treasure but adds a few extras into the mix.
The theme of Desert Treasure II is the same as its predecessor. The desert fills the background of this version as it does with the original and the Egyptian pyramids are seen in the distance, an oasis is front and center and they even toss in a man riding his camel for effect. As with the original all of the letter and number symbols include critters such as turtles, scorpions, snakes, gecko's and spiders. A little creepy if you ask me but what do I know!
The slot symbols offer up the usual mix as mentioned but also include some great character symbols such as the Camel, the water oasis, the sheik and the desert princess. The bonus symbols in Deseret Treasure II are the desert princess, the Boa snake and map. All of these take on a classic look that is easily identified as being from Playtech. The graphics are well done as are the sounds. The betting starts at $0.05 and increases to $0.10, $0.25 and $0.50, with the ability to wager up to 10 coins per line making the maximum wager in Desert Treasure II $100 per spin.
Desert Treasure II has some fun features included in it. The first is the expanding wild which can appear on the center 3 reels. It will match all symbols with the exception being the scatter and bonus symbol. The next is the free spins which are won whenever three or more of the desert princess lands on the reels. This will award 15 free spins that come with a 2 times multiplier. It will also award a scatter award start at 5 times your wager. Should you get 4 desert princesses you will win 50 times your wager and 5 desert princesses will award 500 times your wager.
The last of the slot features is the Oasis bonus game. This gets triggered when 3 of the map symbols appear on the reels. This bonus game offers two stages. In the first you are presented with 3 boxes. You simply choose one of the bones. If you find the one that contains a map you will progress to the second stage choose either the hidden sanctum or the secret tent. Inside either you will get to select from the items available. If you triggered the bonus with 3 symbols then you will get 3 picks, if you triggered with 4 or 5 then you will get 4 or 5 picks. You will win a cash prize based on the amounts you unveil behind the items you selected.
