I have always wondered why the pay lines in online slots games and I suppose this would apply to traditional land based casino slots games to pay from left to right. I don't beleive I've ever seen a game that pays from right to left.

Is the consistency in slots paying left to right something that slots manufactures do to keep things the same for players so as to not confuse anyone?

Anyways it is not actually a big deal however I've always wondered this and wanted to know from people here on the message board whether there's actually a reason for this.

Hello, saw your post and could'nt resist repling.
Some machines with 15+ lines will pay both ways, I have seen it
mostly with the penny slots at land based casinios. Not sure how to
tell one does just by looking at it, but you can always open the payout
or help menu on machine to see how many ways it pays.

There should be a place on the screen that let you pick what way you wont to play if there is more them one.

I'm not quite sure i have ever seen this option before and
i've been in many online and land-based casinos.

My opinion would be as humans, don't we do everything left to right?
Reading, writing, dealing cards, taking turns in board games, etc.

This is just another thing that humans do i guess.
